Yahoo Messenger for iPhone Now Supports Push Notifications
The latest version of Yahoo! Messenger for iPhone (v1.2.1) is now available. On this version of Yahoo Messenger for the iPhone will feature push Notifications.
The new features available with the release of the latest Yahoo Messenger (for iPhone and iPod Touch) as listed below:
1.) Push Notifications
This is a much-awaited feature (works with iPhone OS 3.0 upgrade). New message alerts for Yahoo! Messenger for the iPhone works like a push to get your Notifications Letters. When a new message comes in, a badge will appear on Yahoo! Messenger app icons on your home screen, which shows the number of new messages. This badge is based on the cumulative whether the received message so that three friends you send one message to three friends you would send a message, you will see “3″ on the app icon either way.
By default voice, and a badge are configured to ON for the application, but you can change the settings by tapping “Settings” on the home screen, then “Notifications,” and finally “Yahoo Messenger”. From there you can enable / disable sound, sign or symbol Notifications.
2.) Stay Online for upto 2 Weeks
Yahoo! Messenger for the iPhone app will make you look and go to Yahoo! Messenger friends to two weeks. When applications closed on the phone, you will show the online status but as a state Idle. Friends can IM you and when they do, you will receive Notifications of new messages as described above.
3.) Buzz … your friends with the iPhone twist
If you want to buzz your friends, just shake your iPhone with full spirit. You get a friend buzzed at the end and you’ll also see ordinary Buzz!
To download the latest version of Yahoo! Messenger for iPhone (v1.2.1) that includes these new features, go to the iTunes App Store, or tap the App Store icon on the iPhone and search for Yahoo! Messenger
If you already have a Yahoo! Messenger installed, you may also have to sign-update app.
If you run into any problems with the new version, use the “Report a problem” feature in the app to let us know. Tap on Settings, then scroll down and tap on “Report a problem.”
