Iomega Screenplay media player

Iomega has updated its range of media players lounge, with the Iomega ScreenPlay Director HD as star player. As we shall see, is indeed the most prominent of all and includes details that had been neglected in previous models, such as support for MKV videos among the most important.
The new ScreenPlay Director HD is the model that has video playback at 1080p and up to 2 TB capacity. It also DivX Home Theater certified for better performance when playing DivX, but can with other widely used as H.264, WMV and MKV.
The Iomega ScreenPlay Director HD has an Ethernet connection and to give WiFi connectivity can use a USB adapter. It’s also DLNA compatible and comes with three USB ports.
As other rivals, Iomega’s model does not neglect the content from the Internet, and this includes access to YouTube, Flickr, Shoutcast Internet radio and any podcast or RSS feed.
This equipment will be available for 200 euros in the case of the 1TB model and $ 350 for 2TB.
The other new model within the range of multimedia hard drive is Iomega ScreenPlay Plus, equipment available with capacities of 500 GB or 1 TB, and supports 720p and 1080i video. There is also DivX Home Theater certified.
With HDMI and one USB port is not compatible with MKV videos. The 500GB model will cost 129 euros and 30 euros more we get the model with 1 TB.
But Iomega has also thought about those who do not want to buy a new hard drive because I have one and only want one element to convert the disk that already have in media player.
This camp will cover in future Iomega ScreenPlay TV Link Manager, which provides the benefits of Director ScreenPlay HD Media Player but no hard drive.
The ScreenPlay TV Link is compatible with DLNA Director and will later this month with a price of 109 euros, in line with the Asus OPlay! Live TV and the WD HD.
