The new iPod Nano now comes with a touchscreen-based interface and is now shaped similar to the squareness of the newest Shuffle. The setback, however, is that it no longer has a camera like it used to. comes in seven color variants, including a Product RED version (the proceeds of purchasing this one goes to (RED), a non-profit organization aimed at battling HIV/ AIDS in Africa).

The iPod Nano of today is almost half the size and half the weight of the previous version, with hard volume buttons on the side and a clip on the back. Battery life can last for up to 24 hours of audio playback. Pre-orders will begin on September 6, Monday, with the 8GB model costing US$149, while the 16GB version will be available for US$179.

Samsung has officially announced the detail specs of its Samsung Galaxy Tab at IFA in Berlin. The latest Android software keeps things ticking over inside, while it packs in Flash 10.1″. There’s Wi-Fi and 3G inside, as well as a 3 megapixel camera round the back and a front-facing peeper for video-chatting with your pals.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab available in 16GB and 32GB models. The screen comes in at 7-inches and you’ll be able to use the in-built Readers Hub app for spying books, magazines and newspapers. There’s also Media Hub, an iTunes rival which lets you access the latest music and movies from the Galaxy Tab. The Galaxy Tab will arrive in the UK ‘soon’.

During IFA 2010 Samsung has showcased its newest PMP that runs Android 2.1 OS, called Samsung Galaxy Player 50. It has Wi-Fi, 2 megapixel camera, microSD card slot (up to 32GB), support DLNA, SoundAlive technology, ThinkFree office suite, and access Google services including Android Market.

The Samsung Galaxy Player 50 is able to play DivX video format. It packs a 3.2-inch touchscreen display. Earlier, Samsung has introduced another portable media player, the Samsung YP-MB2. It is also running on Android but has a 4-inch display. It will hit market in October 2010 for 229 EUR (8GB) and 299 EUR for 16GB version.

KT has released a 7 inch TFT LCD-applied Android Tablet PC in Korea, called, IDENTITY TAB. It has applied the power-cutting touch method, and is loaded with powerful hardware; such as 8GB internal memory, DMB, ect, and is loaded with a 300 thousand pixel camera.

The IDENTITY TAB provides various video clip codec and has excellent multimedia functions. A new Full HD camcorder that comes with an innovative 20-degree Slanted Lens has been announced recently by Samsung, named Samsung HMX-T10. It packs a 5.1MP BSI (Back Side Illuminated) CMOS sensor, 10x optical zoom, and smart Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).

The Samsung HMX-T10 camcorder camera has can record for long periods of time and not experience any discomfort to users arm or wrist. Sony has refreshed its Readers. All three versions, the Touch, Pocket and Daily Edition, now rock touchscreen tech. The leak photo of latest Samsung’s Bada-based smartphone has appeared, known as Samsung Wave S7320. Although the phone has not yet been unveiled to the public, an Italian gadget blog has exposed the Wave S7320’s identity through a series of snapshots and hands-on reviews.

The Samsung Wave S7320 smartphone is intended for the average consumer, judging from the lack of Super-AMOLED displays and fast CPU processors. It comes with a decent build and a metal back cover for a more polished feel.

Sony Ericsson has entered Chinese market with its new smartphone that is the first smartphone to support China Mobile’s TD-SCDMA network, called Sony Ericsson A8i. It runs on OPhone OS 2.0 platform, (variant of Android 2.1). It is added the Chinese social networking and support of local online services.

The Sony Ericsson A8i sports Sony Ericsson signature entertainment apps including TrackID that linked directly with China Mobile’s music download service. It features a 3.5-inch touchscreen display with resolution of 480 x 854 pixel (FWVGA), 5 megapixel autofocus camera with geotagging support and LED flash, GPS, e-compass, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 200MB onboard memory and many more. The latest LG’s smartphone has lighted up on the web today, the LG E720 Optimus Chic. LG has released its new ePaper, a 9.7-inch colour screen and a 19-inch flexible one. First up, is a 9.7-inch display that can support colour representation. It looks as if our next-gen eBook readers could finally give us a spectrum of hues.

While the 19-inch flexible ePaper measuring a super-svelte 0.3 mm and a weighs of 130 grams, making it the most flexible ePaper yet. Epaper is used in most eBook readers and could be used in some future tablet products, and given that LG produce the screens for the iPad and the Kindle.

Korea HP has released a high quality notebook, named HP ENVY17. It provides a multi display function ‘Wrap Around’, through Eyefinity technology that allow users to enjoy a more visual video clip in a wide work environment. Motorola has introduced its newest smartphone that comes with a transparent flip, called Motorola MT810. It is designed for subscribers of the largest in China’s mobile operator, China Mobile that operates under OPhone OS 2.0 (variant of Android 2.1 with additional applications and support of local internet services).

The new Motorola MT810 works in GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz and TD-SCDMA 2010-2025 MHz. JVC has released its two new Flip camcorders, called Picsio GC-WP10 and GC-FM2. The two models have the option to shoot at 720p HD, iFrame or quarter high-definition as well as have 4x zoom and full touchscreen control.

The Picsio GC-WP10 and GC-FM2 will both shoot at 1080p high-definition. Both cameras come packing HDMI outs. The FM2 (left) has a Flip-style pop-out USB port, so that you can plug it straight into your PC with minimum fuss, while the WP10 is waterproof to 10 feet. Both will be out in September. No word on pricing.

The latest Samsung eBook reader, known Samsung E60 is now available to order online now. It can store up to 1,200 of your favourite reads on its 2GB memory, and there’s also an SD card slot for those with voracious reading habits.

The Samsung E60 comes bundled with 80 free titles from WHSmith. It proceeds the Samsung Galaxy Tab Android slate (with eBook capabilities) that’s set for arrival next week. It features WiFi and slide-out control keypad at the bottom to control the eBook and the in-built MP3 player. The Samsung E60 costs £199 and is available online now and in WHSmith stores from Friday and expected to be hit on 26 August.
