D-Link DAP-1360 access point for sharing between home or office WiFi
D-Link has introduced its new solution within the field of networks. The D-Link DAP-1360 is a device intended for use in offices and homes in which you want to share a single connection wirelessly without having to install additional devices.
The device is based on the new 802.11n (Wireless N), so we can take full advantage of this new technology, such as greater range and speed of the network we believe. This equipment is based on Linux and allows its customization and modification.
The network device includes six modes, including WISP (Wireless Internet Service Provider) which allows for example to connect to any wireless link and distribute public Internet access wirelessly to multiple computers without extra devices. Depending on the mode of operation we choose the D-Link team can behave as a network element or another. Thus, it can be an access point or bridge, or both at once.
The D-Link DAP-1360 ensures secure connections with WEP encryption 64 or 128 bits and WPA/WPA2.
